I'm a fan (and you should be too) because we live in the world that we all hear to the same.
We're constatly being bought by commercial songs, with extravagant looks, artists that try to play diferent but in fact they're all being the same.
Avril may be a pop/rock artist, but at least she keeps it real.
Her music is honest, her lyrics shows how she feels, felt, what she lived, lives, what she hopes to live - her dreams, her fears, her happiness...

Have you ever asked yourself why does Avril takes so long to put on album out? 26 years old and only 3 albuns released!? Why can't she be like those Top Artist that release an album every single year?
Well maybe it's because she writes her own music. Every single music that you may know from her like Complicated, My Happy Ending, When You're gone, (...) is pure Avril. It's pure honest! And it takes so long because she needs that time, that life experiences to inspire her music = her life.
The other artists manage to put an album out every single year because they have people to wrote for them.

You may say that some of her songs are commercial as well, but again, commercial is sing to sell, write lyrics to get tons of money. She doesn't do it. How can a person that sings about her life be commercial? You can't pick all the artists that are successful and put them in the same bag. There're the ones that reach the top by playing themselves and the ones that from the beginning are trying to make you like them.

In conclusion, I just want to say that if you wanna know how's Avril, don't check her interviews, her appearances ... whatever. Listen to her music, listen closely and you may be surprise.
