I'm a fan (and you should be too) because Avril is so amazingly talented, beautiful, diverse, stylish, down to earth, relatable and inspirational.
If there is ever a chance you, yourself, might read this, I just want to tell you that you've truly brightened my life. I suffer with clinical depression, Borderline Personality Disorder and OCD, so my life is complicated and a hard struggle to get through some days, and to find the courage to keep on living. Your lyrics, "Too many, too many problems. Don't know where she belongs.... broken inside," are scarily accurate that it makes me cry every time I listen to that song! However, when I do listen to your music and voice, it touches my soul, drowns out the pain and makes me feel a little better about life and myself.
Thank you so much for everything you've done for me and all your fans. I'm inspired every time I hear your voice, every note I've heard you sing, every lyric you've written, the way you command the stage, you are a true artist.
I have been following your career from the very beginning, and I love that every album has a different feel. On ‘The Best Damn Thing’ album my favourite song is "Innocence"; it’s just so beautiful, pure and I found the lyrics powerful. It makes me feel at complete peace whenever I listen to you singing that song. Your second album, ‘Under my skin’ I can really relate to, and as I hear the lyrics for "Nobody's Home" it’s as if you’re singing my life! As well as "Take me away," and "Forgotten". The same goes for "Losing Grip", and "Unwanted" from your first masterpiece, 'Let Go'. Your music is so inspiring; your voice is just so soothing, pure and moving. Keep inspiring people, because you're doing a sensational job.
I saw you on the Black Star Tour at Hammersmith Apollo, London on the 21st September 2011. Firstly, I know you felt bad but really It was no problem you being late. You are so worth the wait! I waited for months, from buying the tickets to the show night, so another 30 minutes did not make a difference to my excitement! Besides it was not your fault what happened! I was so sorry to hear you had such a bad encounter, the "security breach" in London, I hope it does not put you off coming back! I have seen you live 4 times there over the years, in Wembley Arena, the O2 arena and Hammersmith Apollo. And I will see you again, every time you visit London on tour! Even with the problem of losing your voice at the end you were incredible! You totally rocked it as you always do! Love you always and thank you for coming to London and doing the show! I loved it! It makes my year seeing you perform every time!
You are truly the best artist that I've ever come across. You certainly live up to "The Best Damn Thing"! I have been, and will always be your loyal and devoted fan. You inspire me each and every day to keep on living, and to love. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
