Hello there,

My name is Harry and for 10 years now I'm in love with Avril. I can't pass this thing ;(

I know many fans are "In Love with her" but I want to hug her, Adore her, defend her, kiss her , this is not a crush I've felt it before it's love, pure love.

It is so difficult for me to pass this and I'm really depressed that I have no chance, to spend some time with her and I'm sure she will never see this post or replay.

Every time I see her it's like "Avril I wish you were here." I even let tears fall for her.

Please help me pass this thing and tell me what to do. I can't stop looking her now.

I'm so embarrassed about this, but if you see this Avril, please leave me a reply to cheer me up.

I think you are obsessed because, I read your original post. It clearly defines your obsession. It is not normal for a grown man to feel this way. You believe "this is not a crush I've felt it before it's love, pure love", when it is nothing but a crush. Grownups do not talk this way about people they've never met. Only an obsessed person would say something as ridiculous as "I'm really depressed that I have no chance, to spend some time with her and I'm sure she will never see this post" or "I even let tears fall for her". You say you want to pass "this thing". The first step is to admit that "this thing" is an obsession. You just might need professional help.

But my question still is there.. How can I stop this? oh, and please I'm not obsessed I just want to go forward! I still like Avril Lavigne as a singer anyways. Hope you understand me. In addition she has a perfect life! I don't get why you guys think that I am obsessed. I just want to pass this thing.

If you are serious about changing your behavior, you should start by never posting anything like this again. Avril might visit this forum but, she NEVER replies. Even if she did, she would never encourage anyone who exhibits "obsessive behavior". You're wrong. It is a crush. You can't be in love with someone you've never met. You might know a few things about her but, nobody knows "everything". You don't know her at all. You never will. Deal with it.

Dude! I've had some celebrity crushes too. And when I do have one, I read about them, watch videos and listen to their music. It's just a fun thing really. But I don't get how you can possibly be in love with a person you've never met personally? Ofc there's public people we'd all like to meet, but it feels like you're too obsessed about it. You'll never be Avril's boyfriend. Just let it go.

This is just a crush. You can't be in love with Avril because you don't know her, you only know her music and the person her fans see, which is all fine and may be the person Avril is, but I bet her friends and family describe her differently to how her fans see 'her'. Try meeting girls your age who have the qualities that you see in Avril and just let it go. Think I'm never going to be with Avril and get out there a bit more. This isn't 'love', this is an obsession and you need to let it go and focus on hobbies/interests.
