My daughter is a very loyal fan, a true AVRILITE! Recently, we attended the Winnipeg concert at the MTS centre. We quite enjoyed it. I was particularly moved when the whole audience, composed mainly of other true Avrilites, sang the lyrics to Avril's songs. The throng needed no prompting , other than initial direction from Avril herself. After that, they sang together , chorus AND verse, nor did they lose themselves, in what usually happens during audience participation at rock concerts , in a garbled confusion from an inability to remember the lyrics or a lack of consistent tempo. This shows just how devoted Avril's fans are! What does this have to do with Wild Rose? The concert in Winnipeg was one of the best attended ,per capita, of Avril's recent tour. It is just about Christmas! There is not a whiff or dram of Wild Rose in the entire city! Short of convincing Avril to write a new song for my daughter and the rest of the Winnipeg fanbase WHAT AM I GOING TO GET HER FOR CHRISTMAS!!!Phone calls to Shopper's Drug Mart only got me mystified responses as if I was asking about the whereabouts of the "God particle". Maybe Shopper's needs a new buyer or certain publicists should get on this.
