Ever since i started listening to avril, which was when her first cd came out, i was seven, i realized how different Avril was compared to who i listened to. I was big into britney spears and shania twain but once Now 10 intoduced me to Avril, my whole view on music changed. My true colors came out and i didnt have the pressure to be like everyone else. I got big into Avril and amy lee. My clothes changed, I still liked girly clothes but liked boy clothes because thats what avril lavigne wore. I even tried skate boarding because i saw her with one. But as i got older i realized avril was only being herself. So i started being myself and dressing my own way. Still a lot like her but it was just my style. Still is. Now i see all her fans saying they idolize her and their hair being like hers and trying to look like her. Thats awesome, but avril would want you to be you. Not her. Because everybody is different, nobody can be the same. Avril is an idol to A LOT of girl including me. I mean,im very motivated by avrils music. I can relate in someway to every song almost. I remember sitting in my room putting on her cd "let go" and playing air guitar and dancing around and pretending like i was playing in front of so many people. and thats my dream and always will be. The fact that avril made it by just being her, gives me motivation that i can do it. i havent got a band yet i havent performed in front of a lot of people yet. But because of her showing that you can be a rock star and be yourself and not fall into the scene and be someone your not, makes me want to do the same. So i feel being yourself and listening to your gut will help you make it to anywhere you want to be. So like Avril would probably say, Be yourself.
