Hello,

Pre-sale tickets for the Kingston tour date have sold out!

If you weren't able to get tickets yet, don't worry - the public onsale will start at 10am EST on Monday, January 28th 2008. You do not need a Pre-sale Access Code to purchase public onsale tickets.

I got my Kingston Concert tickets!

I went to the actual arena's website to buy mine, and it gave me an error message the first few times I tried - saying some message like "there are no tickets available for that section in the quantity you ordered" - and I only wanted two..! :-P

But I kept clicking to order, because we *started* at 10 am (when they began selling), and there's no way it could sell out within 60 seconds, and sure enough it eventually allowed us to buy them.

I made a blog entry for anyone looking for where to buy tickets for this Kingston concert, and will update it whenever I find another good place that's selling them, but visit this post for a website and phone number you can use now:

I'm not sure how those things are sent out - for instance, I don't get any codes (afaik) for presale access at other cities' concerts - so maybe they only get sent to people who live close to an upcoming concert - if they indicate a city location in their profile...?

But I've seen at least one other person here who is a fan and wanted to attend the Kingston concert but apparently didn't get a presale access code in their email until AFTER it was already sold out.

Another possible problem is the local newspaper said in their article about the Kingston concert that presale access tickets would be available to anyone who joined this fan club... so does that mean someone who has been a fan and member of this site for 4 years has the exact same chance to get a access code as some grandmother who doesn't care about an Avril concert but just joined that day simply so she could buy tickets for her grandkids (who may or may not be Avril fans) early?

As far as I know, emails sent out to tons of people "at once" are really sent out in batches... and if so, what order are they sent? And either way, shouldn't they be sent out in order of how long someone has been a member here (based on the date they joined)? If you've been an Avril fan for 3 years and posted messages on the forums with other fans, shouldn't you get a chance to buy a ticket before someone's grandmother who joined this week ONLY so she could get an early ticket for someone else?

I've had an Avril Lavigne blog for years now and rank #2 on Yahoo, just below Avril's own myspace page, out over 24,000,000 results - so if Avril's coming to my town and I can't get a ticket unless I pay a ton of cash to some scalper (which there will be MANY scalpers on the day tickets are available to the public, just like what caused the scandal with the Hannah Montana tour where mothers were looking at spending up to $1000 for a ticket, iirc), then I will be more than just disappointed...

I've got a post started about Avril coming to Kingston, and will post something on there later about where to get tickets - if any are left after the scalpers automated systems start buying them up - so feel free to check it out.
