@fohlenrico I lived in the Rheinland Pfalz near Kaiserslautern. I was stationed at the US air base (flugplatz) in Sembach for 3 years. I lived in a small village named Imsbach. I had a great time.

He said the speech happened at the Berlin wall. It actually occurred on the steps of Rathaus Schöneberg, which was the city hall of what was called "West Berlin" at the time. When I lived in Germany, I made it a point to visit there.

@Uncle Bob: Yes,you're right "Ich bin ein Berliner" is the correct German manner of writing. But at that time Kennedy said (I do not know the year now) "Ick..."! Perhaps it was be akzent or maybe it was even a respect towards the Berlin people, because the Berliners say "Ick" for "Ich" that the dialect them is there speak. I hope I could help a little

First both I have never seen. But I know the Sk8er Boi video. I can still remember well this. It arise in Germany with VIVA (TV Channel ). At that time I have seen it and also had to laugh immediately. The broadcasting on VIVA was also a live transference. There one could also cut nothing more.
