So the Wish You Were Here - BTS vid was released but....
It doesn't really show much of anything other than the fact that it was definitely way too simple....
I wander, how did Avril make herself cry without onions, thoughts.... Did anyone else cry with her while you watched the video, I didn't, not even close to being sad.....

@Prads: I too felt really disappointed and far from impressed, and if Avril has failed to impress even her hardcore fans..... well what are others going to say? what will the critics say? I don't want to know.....
I have to agree with Prads, I am also not impressed by the new music video, I like the bath scene, but the rest is boring, and not even Avy's tears affected me! It was too much bad acting for my taste ... she can do it so much better!
And a 'message' is just transferred by the lyrics itself, not at all by the new video!
Sorry, but the video doesn't work for me! Maybe next time again ...
I felt really disappointed. That song had so much potential but the video doesn't complement the song. Sad...
It is probably a personal song to Avril, reminding her of maybe Deryck Whibley...
She wanted to keep it simple. You don't always have to have a colourful bold background with your hair all nice and in a cool style, or the prettiest dress in the world...
Most people on YouTube have said they liked the video and I like it. I think it's one of her best videos.
I don't need lots of entertainment in this video because I can feel her emotions through it and that's what makes it an awesome video, in my opinion.
But other people have different opinions.
Oh well.
@goodbyelullaby123: I am glad you like it, seems like most female Avril fans like this video. Well that's a good sign at least!
But compare this to When You're Gone, which is a similar kind of song with a music video as well. The music video for When You're Gone was beyond amazing while this is medicore at best.
Watch the When You're Gone video then watch this one right after and you will see what I am talking about.....
Personally I love this music video! Probably one of the best and most sincere.
Because it is in this simplicity that the message of this song is understood by all
I think this song is one of the best ever. I haven't seen the video , but it should be emotional...
@Don_-58 Well yes When You're Gone is better than Wish You Were Here as a music video but Wish You Were Here is also really good!
I think all of Avril's music videos are awesome! Sk8er Boi is the best I think!
@goodbyelullaby123: Thumbs up for Sk8er Boi, it's my second favourite song of all time. After Complicated!
I think that anyone that questions Avril's sincerity in this video or doesn't cry right along with her is lucky enough to never have had their heart broken. I love the song, I love Avril and have always felt her sincerity come through in her music! Either in one of her let's drink and have fun songs or one sung from the heart like this one. (O: Onions? Really? It's called having feelings for a love gone wrong.......anyone with a heart will share her pain as I did.
@ komplicated:
I guess it is a bit too easy to say, 'I think that anyone that questions Avril's sincerity in this video or doesn't cry right along with her is lucky enough to never have had their heart broken.' or 'anyone with a heart will share her pain.'
There are simply fans who like the new video, and fans who don't, but that doens't mean at the same time, we would be heartless!
Avril 'cried' in 'Wish you were here'? The tears weren't sincere enough to me, sorry! It was nothing but bad acting! The video isn't a one shot one, if it would have been one, maybe her tears were more sincere to me ... I guess she had to 'cry' for that scene many many times!
I am more affected by these 2 'Wish you were here' performances:

Did I cry when I watched this? Absolutely, I did because that was SINCERE!

Peace, Darlin
P.S.: I like Prads' statements here! And I agree with ya!
@komplicated @Darlin I have never gone through what Avril and many other people have gone through but I still felt really sad and a bit tearful!
