Avril, I am your fan and I am following some criticism that they are doing about you. But we, your true fans, we want Avril Lavigne, only you, the singer who you ever were. Avril who always says and does what wants without caring what others think. The girl who does everything with love, affection and dedication for what does.
We fans just wanted you to know that you don't need to change to please anyone, we just want you to be yourself as you always was and is that message in your music and actions!

Back in 2002, I mailed a letter to Napanee addressed to A. Lavigne. I've always wondered if you received my letter. The letter contained a poem I wrote about being all alone in the rain, sorrow, hope, and finding one's soulmate where you least expect to find each other. I always wondered if my poem helped inspire "I'm With You." I signed the letter "Chad - Saskatoon" I no longer reside in SK. I'm on the West Coast (Canada) now. I would like nothing more than to read my poem to you sometime in person.
