@RachelAbbeyDawn: Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, although I believe new users who come in just to say one thing and leave for good wouldn't care less.

@Miss Independent: Isn't it better to have all the birthday messages on one topic rather than 100 birthday topics with 1 post in each.....

When it comes to the brithday messages I don't mind it. Avril was happy about all the b-day messages she got so stop whine about it.

I think a moderator or admin should post a topic for new members explaining about repeat topics etc. Obviously it will still happen sometimes, but might as well try

I was hoping that the new users will read this post, but like I said earlier, they just create a new account to say what they want to say and leave for good. I doubt that they will read other people's posts..... Unfortunately like Uncle Bob says there is nothing we can do.

New people don't know any better and I'm not going to lose my mind about it. It happens every year and at Christmas too. It's not worth my time to try to put them all in one spot. If I notice the same member making the same mistake repeatedly, then I deal with it.

Ha! Excellent, Don! That was exactly what I thought - but I didn't want to make trouble! It's really annoying, there already is one main topic, and nevertheless fans have to create their own threads to one and the same thing! The same happened when 'Smile' came out! There are 'Smile' threads all over! It makes it difficult to read all that stuff & I don't feel comfortable with it!
